Nioxin can not grow hair back - necessarily. It aids in hair retention - meaning it will keep it from becoming more thin and sometimes can help ';grow'; it back if your problem is that the hair is trying to grow, but the follicle for whatever reason can't retain the hair and it falls out. Cutting the hair won't make a difference.About to use nioxin for my thinning hair--should i shave my head to restart or just keep going?
Rogain and scalp massage can help to stimulate the follicles for hair growth and strength of that better I feel. IF this is severe I'd try going to a dermatologist as they deal with things like that or can refer to someone that specializes in this. The lion's den can be looked up online if that is something that can be of service, but bet it's pricey there. I would try the rogain as it's over the counter and at most stores
Don't need to shave as it is most related to the hair follicles for growth.
Nioxin is a good product. If you are a man, experiencing recent hair loss (within 2 years), I strongly suggest the use of Rogaine (generic=minoxidil), available over the counter. The sooner used, the better. Minoxidil can jump-start the hair follicles.
If it has been 32 months since the follicles died, it is not likely that minoxidil will grow the of quality hair you are looking for and the hair you get may not survive discontinuing the product.
Not a lot is known about hair loss. But we do know that minoxidil grows hair. Nothing wrong with using nioxin products at the same time. Good stuff!
All the best!
Don't shave it.
u can keep going , becoz its related to the hair roots , not the strands themselves .. =)
